Travel: Paris

Hi-Res244_3

Today I am writing a post with a difference, I am writing about one of my favourite cities in the whole entire world… Paris, the city of love.

As my last post was quite word heavy, I have decided on a more picture heavy post this week because lets face it, who doesn’t want to see pictures of Paris, it is like the most prettiest.

I am lucky enough that I have been able to visit this beautiful city 3 times so far (with a planned trip next month also). It’s one of those places that you can never visit enough, there’s so much to do and see, I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of it.

We like to go on our anniversary in November each year (it is the city of love after all), however this year we are going in June as we thought it would be a change to experience Paris in the summer, I’m sure I will see it in a whole new light.

November in Paris is pretty darn cold, let me tell you but I always enjoy it… it is the only city in the world that I actually enjoy being cold! That is a bold statement for me and a true testament to how truly beautiful Paris is. I have the best memories of just wrapping up warm and exploring the city, getting caught in the rain and having to venture into a nearby restaurant and just sharing a bottle of red wine watching the world go by all romantic and rainy… I mean doesn’t that sound like something straight out of a romantic novel? That’s Paris, it could somehow even make standing in dog poo romantic I swear.

For me, layering is key in Paris during the winter months. Parisian style is like my dream style and something I aspire to, although I’m not 100% convinced that I get it right at all but never the less, that is my goal for every look… just effortlessly chic. This is hard to pull off when it’s so cold and to be honest as much as I want to adopt the Parisian style, whilst in Paris is probably my least chic (oh the irony). The cold and the need to feel comfortable as we are going to be walking around all day, are huge factors in the way I dress, so jumpers, trousers, trainers, big coats are where its at for my Paris wardrobe, trying to balance the comfort with the ability to just drop in somewhere nice for a cocktail is the key theme – I’ll call it Cocktail Comfort (yeah ok, I’ll work on the name).

I’ll let you know how I get on dressing in Paris in the summer months… hopefully I’ll be able to realise my dream of true Parisian style in Paris.🀞🏼

And obviously I will be finishing this post off with an image of the Eiffel Tower, which in my opinion, is the most breath takingΒ sightΒ I have ever witnessed, my eyes will never tire of seeing this vision, especially when it puts on it’s sparkly little show (insert heart eyes emoji).

PS. Images are a selection of my own taken on the trusty iPhone and photos Theo took of me on his camera.
