Outfit: And it was all (neon) yellow

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

So, I have yet to find anything yellow to add to my Spring/Summer wardrobe so I have compensated for this by posing in front of a very yellow door (shutter?)… how bou dah?

You may remember my post from a couple of weeks ago where I talked about the Spring/Summer trends I am championing this year (read it here if not), the midi skirt was one of them and I’ve finally got round to styling this one, even though it has been lurking in my wardrobe for months now.

Outfit: Balloon Sleeves

You may remember (me from such…) my post from a few weeks ago where I spoke about Spring/Summer trends that I am championing this year (check it out here if you haven’t already), in this I mentioned the colour pink (hello new pretty bow shoes) and statement sleeves. I have to say statement sleeves have been a real favourite of mine as you probably gathered from some of my previous posts (see here and here). So far it has mainly been the bell sleeve but that all changed when I clapped eyes on this little beaut of a jumper… enter the balloon sleeve, welcome to the family little one.

I am in love with this jumper, it’s so cool yet effortless and I love it even more as it is a waaayyy cheaper version of this Topshop one at just ยฃ8 from (you guessed it) Primark – you literally can’t afford to not get it at that price.

Outfit: Hip Hip Hoody

Sometimes in life you just have to have those really chilled clothing days (I’m not going to lie, this is most times for me); days when it’s all about the comfort, and not much else… today was one of those days. I am celebrating the hoody and all things comfy because I am nearly 30 and I find no shame in admitting that I love being comfy, it’s genuinely my most fave thing… if I were a bug, I would most definitely find a rug (deep shag preferably) and get snug.

So lots of casual layering is key because, let’s face it, it has gone absolutely baltic again… seriously, having to get my big coat back out, what’s that all about? But layering is the key to this look, a way of still getting some style points on the most comfiest of days… I call this look ‘Homeless couture’.

Outfit: Happy Pants

The sun was shining this weekend in Manchester (as in last weekend when these pics were taken – the weather this weekend sucked!), so I put my happy pants on and drank Prosecco… what else is there to do when the sun is shining really?

Who else thinks these pants are super fun? I am so in love with them, even if some people think I look like a pirate (not mentioning any names), but seriously crushing so hard on them! I, along with the rest of the fashion world, have gone completely ruffle mad, it’s a trend that’s really having a “fashion moment” right now and I have fallen for it hook, line and sinker! (Is that a pirate phrase? I don’t actually know… oh the irony!)

Outfit: Denim

So this week, I’m talking more about denim because let’s face it, there is no hiding from it! It’s back in a huge way this spring/summer and I for one have found a renewed love for all things denim.

I recently purchased these distressed light denim jeans from H&M with the very of the moment frayed stepped hem, I love these jeans and although they are really quite similar to my trusty Levi’s (as my boyfriend pointed out) I still had to have them. They tick all the denim trend boxes, keeping us right at the fashion fore-front and let’s face it they go with everything so they’re more of an investment than anything else (pretty much the line I use for every guilt ridden purchase I make – yes, this neon pink visor will go with absolutely everything*).

Outfit: Birthday Suit

So, this week has been a long and treacherous week of birthday celebrations (it’s such a chore to constantly eat, drink and be merry for that amount of time)ย which has resulted in me sitting in bed on a Sunday evening, realising that I haven’t put a blog post out this week and trying to fight the fear of returning to work after spending most of the weekend in a weird drunken, paranoid haze… So 29 is clearlyย going to be the year where I start adulting for reals.

Hangover aside though, I have had a truly wonderful birthday this year and rather than feeling scared at being another year closer to the big 30 I actually feel super happy. I think it’s so easy to concentrate on the things that may be missing from our lives instead of realising the truly amazing things we already have going for us… I’m getting seriously deep here peeps!

Outfit: Flared Err-thing

Hands up who canโ€™t put their hands up because they are weighed down by gi-normous sleevesโ€ฆ Yes, itโ€™s another big sleeve week here on Whitebreadโ€ฆ literally canโ€™t get enough!!!

So, in recent weeks Spring has been teasing us with a sneaky little glimpse of sun here and there, which of course has been sandwiched by copious amounts of rain (thanks Manchester). Itโ€™s that transitional time of year when you literally do not know what to wear because the weather canโ€™t make up itโ€™s bloody mind!!! This my friends, is what I call layering season.

Outfit: Cropped Kick Flares

So, ‘Cropped Kick Flares’ – the 3 words that I have dreaded since crushing on this denim style only to try them on and realise that they make me look like a bell(end), no but seriously, the actual shape of a bell… well flattering… ๐Ÿ””

I bought these jeans last summer and even though I absolutely love them, I just haven’t had a clue how to style them, the problem being that although I love the shape of them, unfortunately the shapeย does not love me. The kick flare really throws my proportions off, making my legs look shorter and thighs bigger which of course is not what you want. However, one Sunday morning I had a light bulb moment…
