So, hands up if you’ve ever had the joy of putting fishnet tights on… Fun hey? Like seriously there has got to be a better way *makes note to invent some sort of toe shield* it’s just too difficult, so much so, I refused to take them off when I was trying on clothes later that day (catching yourself in fishnet tights and not much else isn’t the best way to spend a Saturday, I must admit).

Any-who, all for the sake of fashion. Why am I so in love with fishnet tights again though? It’s like one of those trends that you really did think had had its day and then its back again and like cooler than ever… I even wanted to do one of those casual ‘lifting top up’ photo’s to show them peeking out over my waistband but do not fear, I refrained from that one!

So this post is all about my new shoes, I love them!!! You probably recognise them as theΒ style of last summer and thankfully they are back and in a fab range of colours. I was toying with the idea of getting the bright pink pair but settled on the navy… more exciting than black but way more wearable than hot pink and I thought they would team perfectly with my (also new) polka dot shirt, I love a polka dot and I am also a lover of navy and black… I know for some people it is literally a cardinal sin to team the 2 but I find it so chic!

So, I have been shopping more than usual of late, there are pro’s and con’s to starting a blog…one major con is the need to go shopping ALL the time to keep your posts relative, one major pro is the need to go shopping ALL the time to keep your posts relative!!! 😝 But in all seriousness my wishlist has grown ten-fold since starting this blog but luckily it’s my birthday next month (and if this is not a hint I don’t know what is!)

Another day, another way to style a bandana! πŸ™‚ This one being the bog standard way of just tying it round your neck… Well done me! (To see how I’ve previously styled a bandana click hereΒ and here.)

So, I finally decided to share my blog on social media this week and we broke the internet… Well we didn’t but the way my boyfriend and I were bouncing around when we hit 600+ views you would have thought we had… A very long way to go yet but baby steps and I am finding it all very exciting and feeling genuinely so chuffed and grateful to each and everyone of you that have actually taken the time to pop over and have a gweld (I mean, gweld doesn’t really translate to ‘look’ in the welsh language but I like the sound of it and you know, I have a welsh GCSE so there).

So, I’m pretty sure me calling myself a “lazy dresser” is fast becoming a theme to this blog… The laziest dresser in the blogosphere? Rings a bell right? But anyway, I do live for being warm and cosy, which can really pose a problem for someone who is obsessed with style. My way around this, is a great accessory… I am like the BIGGEST fan of accessorising, it’s ALL about the details!!!Β You’ll probably notice a key accessory is always present in every look I sport… This week, of course, is no exception… Hello space-cowboy boots and fishnet socks!

Today’s post is all about thinking outside the box… Just because we are nearing 30 it doesn’t mean we have to dress accordingly. I still love going full on grunge for the day (90’s ponytail included).

Although I have previously stated that I am somewhat of a lazy dresser, I still love an opportunity to experiment… I am a Fashion Graduate after all! I have always been a massive advocate of fashion being something that one should never take too seriously. I personally find great joy in teaming playful outfits together and not taking myself too seriously when it comes to the world of fashion, after all what better way to truly express yourself?

So here’s me looking like a Mel.C wannabe (see what I did there?) circa 1996. Continue reading “Outfit: Yes Plisse”

So, after too many a month procrastinating, my first blog post is finally live and let me tell you, it was not an easy feat to press the publish button. As people who know me are probably aware, I now have considerably shorter hair than this, just showing how long this post has been sat in my drafts (about 7 months to be exact). There are probably 2 main reasons for the delay, 1 being my natural habitat of procrastination and 2 actually feeling embarrassed to post it… There I said it! There are already so many amazing bloggers out there doing such a great job, I doubted that anyone would be interested in what I had to offer but hey,Β this is my final year in my 20’s and I will not be afraid anymore, because, if nothing else, Β I… am a grown up!!! Therefore I can’t be scared, OBVS! Continue reading “Outfit: Back to Basics”
