So, we need to talk about Red… it is literally the colour of the moment and it’s sticking around for the foreseeable with it being a HUGE trend for this A/W. I know you have seen it all over the high street and are dying to nail a full red outfit… believe Β me I am working on it!

Outfit: Power Couple!

I don’t know about you but I’ve always found it difficult to dress for nights out, more so as I’m getting older. Living in the city you don’t really go on a night out, they just kind of happen, one drink leads to 2 and next thing it’s 3 am and you don’t know where your shoe is. So as they are never planned I never really get dressed up and now when the opportunity arises I always seem to dress down and play it safe.

I’ve never been someone who goes full on glamour, it’s just not me but I do like taking the time to get dressed up and look different because truthfully 90% of the time I look like shite! When I first started working as a VM I had all these ideas that it would be super glamorous and I’d wear amazing clothes everyday, in reality I wear no make-up (having to be in work at 7 am, I’d rather have the extra 10 minutes in bed) and paint stained clothes… like all day err-day! So when events do come up that I can look that bit special I want to take the time to get it just right…Β The problem is that I really struggle with what to wear… Nelly and Kelly’s Dilemma right?!

Outfit: Arrivederci Italy

So, this is it, the FINAL Italy look and can we just take a moment to appreciate these earrings, I just know that Pat Butcher would be so proud! Do you remember that time when I was trying to egg myself on to wear statement earrings? Well look at me now! Haha! I adore these earrings, I remember the first time I clapped eyes on them and I came over all gooey, a waitress was wearing them (well not these actual ones coz that would probably be a bit gross if I literally swiped them out of her lobes) and I was just like yaaassssss!!! And then the very next day I stumbled across the jewellery shop she had bought them in, hand made in Capoliveri, Italy which of course made them even more special… it was like fate! They were €30 which for someone like me was quite expensive but weirdly money doesn’t seem real on holiday so you feel like you can just blow it on drinks and extravagant treats (ok, it isn’t that extravagant) but in the end Theo bought them for me as a surprise gift so none of what I’m chatting on about even matters, haha! Never the less, they are one of my fave gifts ever and all the more meaningful as they were from my love, hand made in the country that we love… dream! ❀

Outfit: Double Pleats

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

So after last weeks diversion, we are back in Italy for the penultimate look and we are going large with double pleats! I remember this day vividly and not for good reasons… I was so poorly from a bad experience with seafood but I won’t go into too much detail here as some of you might be enjoying your tea. Let’s just say once the guy said “Oh yeah, this is the best fish stew as you can just leave it in the pot on the stove for 3 days” I knew I’d made a huge mistake!Β So a double pleat, block colour combo was born out of a delirious state of (sea)food poisoning!

So, this is my fave look from Italy AND I didn’t even plan it, just chucked it together and it worked! Don’t you just LOVE it when that happens? (Lots of excitable caps going on right now.)

Why is this my favourite look I hear you ask? Well. I shall tell you for why… Not only does this outfit markΒ the first outing of these glorious shoesies but it has also brought life back into this very old pair of trousers. I have had these pants around 6 years!!! And there have been many times when I have been on the verge of throwing them out but something has always just stopped me. They quickly became ‘the holiday pant’ as I didn’t really know how to wear them in everyday life and then this happened! πŸ‘†πŸΌ An outfit which I would actually wear on home soil, including the trousers I have not been able to part with for 6 years. Also, seen as though I am loving a yellow accessory right now, the yellow accent breaking up the monochrome just gives me life… yellow is definitely my colour of the season.

So many reasons to love this outfit.

Outfit: Gingham!

Gingham Trend

Sigh at how beautiful Elba is and how sorry I feel for myself that I have to be home facing reality. Literally feels like the most distant of memories but I’m happy to be reliving it with each post (4 more to go), if only for a brief moment.

So, a slight delay on my 2nd look from Italy, having been away on a hen do for the weekend (seriously patting myself on the back for having the idea to book the Monday off also.) But it’s here and whaddya know, the girl’s got her legs out again! I can’t decide whether these photos make them look tanned or if you can seriously see the mishap that happened on my very first beach day? Yes, this fair bitch burnt herself… Feet and all, which is like the most painful thing!!! Also, why can’t you ever tan perfectly even? What’s that all about? πŸ™„

Outfit: Shake ya Pom Poms

Holiday Styling.

So after a 2 week break I am back and so excited to share my first Italy look. Of course by the time this is posted I will have been back over a week, so shooting this look will feel like a very distant memory, I mean it already does to be honest. Why is it that as soon as you get back off holiday it feels like you’ve never been away? Your tan starts fading on the plane, you’re already wondering if your plants have survived and what to get in your next big shop (mainly all green things after a diet of heavy beige) and once you get back to work that’s it… Holiday? What holiday? Am I right?

Anyway, Italy was the most amazing break and although I’m super sad to be home I made so many more amazing memories in a country that already means so much to me. This shoot was taken in Pienza, the most beautiful place in Tuscany… I mean just look at them views, stealing my thunder or what? It is the 2nd time I have been here and it was just as breathtaking as I remembered.

Outfit: Sassy Sunnies

This weekend, I finally got time to try out my rather sassy yellow sunglasses, that I have wanted to purchase for some time… It just so happens that Primark are selling them (also pink and blue ones) for just a measly Β£1 so of course I bought them… they do not keep the sun at bay one iota (is that how you spell it? It’s just occurred to me that I’ve said it many a time but never actually written the word) but it’s all in the name of fashion.
