Outfit: Red

So, we need to talk about Red… it is literally the colour of the moment and it’s sticking around for the foreseeable with it being a HUGE trend for this A/W. I know you have seen it all over the high street and are dying to nail a full red outfit… believe Β me I am working on it!

Outfit: Power Couple!

Processed with VSCO with a5 preset

I don’t know about you but I’ve always found it difficult to dress for nights out, more so as I’m getting older. Living in the city you don’t really go on a night out, they just kind of happen, one drink leads to 2 and next thing it’s 3 am and you don’t know where your shoe is. So as they are never planned I never really get dressed up and now when the opportunity arises I always seem to dress down and play it safe.

I’ve never been someone who goes full on glamour, it’s just not me but I do like taking the time to get dressed up and look different because truthfully 90% of the time I look like shite! When I first started working as a VM I had all these ideas that it would be super glamorous and I’d wear amazing clothes everyday, in reality I wear no make-up (having to be in work at 7 am, I’d rather have the extra 10 minutes in bed) and paint stained clothes… like all day err-day! So when events do come up that I can look that bit special I want to take the time to get it just right…Β The problem is that I really struggle with what to wear… Nelly and Kelly’s Dilemma right?!

Outfit: Double Pleats

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

So after last weeks diversion, we are back in Italy for the penultimate look and we are going large with double pleats! I remember this day vividly and not for good reasons… I was so poorly from a bad experience with seafood but I won’t go into too much detail here as some of you might be enjoying your tea. Let’s just say once the guy said “Oh yeah, this is the best fish stew as you can just leave it in the pot on the stove for 3 days” I knew I’d made a huge mistake!Β So a double pleat, block colour combo was born out of a delirious state of (sea)food poisoning!

Outfit: Feeling Blue

Holiday Styling

So the 3rd outfit from Italy is leaving me feeling blue, as I’m missing being on holiday so much. Like seriously, my tan has completely faded, I’m cold all the time and I’ve not lost any of my holiday weight as I’m too depressed to diet… if anything I’m even bigger now but I daren’t step on the scales to confirm it! Life is poop but at least I can show you some pretty pictures of an Italian stairway.

Outfit: Gingham!

Gingham Trend

Sigh at how beautiful Elba is and how sorry I feel for myself that I have to be home facing reality. Literally feels like the most distant of memories but I’m happy to be reliving it with each post (4 more to go), if only for a brief moment.

So, a slight delay on my 2nd look from Italy, having been away on a hen do for the weekend (seriously patting myself on the back for having the idea to book the Monday off also.) But it’s here and whaddya know, the girl’s got her legs out again! I can’t decide whether these photos make them look tanned or if you can seriously see the mishap that happened on my very first beach day? Yes, this fair bitch burnt herself… Feet and all, which is like the most painful thing!!! Also, why can’t you ever tan perfectly even? What’s that all about? πŸ™„

Outfit: Sassy Sunnies

This weekend, I finally got time to try out my rather sassy yellow sunglasses, that I have wanted to purchase for some time… It just so happens that Primark are selling them (also pink and blue ones) for just a measly Β£1 so of course I bought them… they do not keep the sun at bay one iota (is that how you spell it? It’s just occurred to me that I’ve said it many a time but never actually written the word) but it’s all in the name of fashion.

Outfit: Giving you the Cold Shoulder

Processed with VSCO with c1 presetSo, I got back from gay Paris on Monday and it already feels like a distant memory. Going back to work and being slapped in the face by the great British summer can really be a Buzz Killington. But none the less, my trip was a joy and a great opportunity to take some pics away from Manchester. I know I’ve been a bit lax with my posts of late so I’m really feeling a lot more inspired after a little break in a gloriously beautiful city and hopefully this will get me motivated to start posting on time again… Typical Laura to procrastinate.

Outfit: Balloon Sleeves

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

You may remember (me from such…) my post from a few weeks ago where I spoke about Spring/Summer trends that I am championing this year (check it out here if you haven’t already), in this I mentioned the colour pink (hello new pretty bow shoes) and statement sleeves. I have to say statement sleeves have been a real favourite of mine as you probably gathered from some of my previous posts (see here and here). So far it has mainly been the bell sleeve but that all changed when I clapped eyes on this little beaut of a jumper… enter the balloon sleeve, welcome to the family little one.

I am in love with this jumper, it’s so cool yet effortless and I love it even more as it is a waaayyy cheaper version of this Topshop one at just Β£8 from (you guessed it) Primark – you literally can’t afford to not get it at that price.
